Learn, Grow, Build Community

Join chapter leaders, clinicians, medical students, premedical students, and faculty for a weekend of shared learning, practical formation, and fellowship, united around our love for this noble profession. The official theme of this year’s conference, hope in medicine, will guide our working groups, discussions, panels, and lectures led by HippSoc Leaders and Advisors, as we reflect together on how physicians can sustain meaning, purpose, and moral clarity amid the real pressures of medical training and practice. Hosted in Austin, this gathering is designed to renew your sense of enthusiasm and professional purpose and to equip you with concrete tools to strengthen your chapter’s work on the ground.

"I see The Hippocratic Society as playing a very vital role in addressing the challenges we see in medicine. I think firstly it helps medical trainees and medical practitioners. It gives them a framework and a set of values to aspire to live by, both in their personal life, but, more applicably, in their medical practice... I think this has been really important and beneficial for me just to see that there’s like-minded individuals throughout all stages of the medical training processes, from fellow medical students all the way to attending positions, who are grappling with these same challenges, and from whom I can learn how to approach these challenges."

Samuel Ho
Medical Student

"The Hippocratic Society is a life-changing organization that I am so happy to have found. I am a current fourth year medical student and I have yet to find a community that is as enriching, diverse, organized, and grounded in the essential principle of restoring the heart of medicine."

Faith Kean
Medical Student

"The Hippocratic Society… reminds me of the foundation of why I came here in the first place. It's reconnected me with what I love about medicine. It's reconnected me with other people who want to talk about those kinds of things, and it's humanized medicine for me again."

Pediatric Neuro-Oncology Fellow
